Total Eyecare Claremont

Total Eyecare Claremont

What makes our Claremont store special?

Our reach into the northern suburbs extended with the opening of our Claremont Plaza practice in 2013. We are proudly locally owned and operated by the Optometrists who work in our practices, including Lee Baumwol. Total Eyecare remains committed to serving our local community through comprehensive, tailored eye care.

We love being independent

Total Eyecare is an amalgamation of several independent practices. Since our beginnings in 1946, independence has been valued by all our owner Optometrists as it allows us to make the best clinical decisions for you. Independence allows us to choose our lens, contact lens and frame suppliers without restriction. Having access to all the best quality products for our patients is why we remain proudly independent. As fierce Tasmanians, we also contribute to our local community by employing locals and supporting our local economy.

Our Optometrists in Claremont

Lee Baumwol
In addition to working in practice I also serve as the state president of the CCLSA, director of Optometry Tasmania and fellow of the AAO. I also work part-time at the Royal Hobart Hospital Eye Clinic.
Bev Reid
My father was an Optometrist and I could see the difference he made to his patients’ lives. He inspired me to serve the community through my own Optometry work. I also enjoy seeking out op shop bargains for things I can fix up and re-purpose.
Scott Taylor
My first job was in an Optical Lab and the Optometrists there inspired me to do further study and become an Optometrist myself. After hours I enjoy gardening and nurturing my creative brain.
